Library OneSearch makes it easy to cite your sources. Each item in OneSearch—whether it’s a physical book, eBook, article, or video—includes a built-in citation generator. With one click, you can create citations in MLA and APA.


How to Generate a Citation in Library OneSearch

  1. Go to OneSearch from the library’s homepage.
  2. Enter a keyword, book title, author name, or subject in the search box and click Search.
  3. Find your source in the search results and click the title to open the full record.
  4. Locate the citation tool – look for the “Cite” button.
  5. Select your citation style (APA)
  6. Copy the generated citation and paste it into your bibliography or reference page.

EBSCO Academic Search Complete is a library database that provides access to scholarly articles, journals, magazines, and more. Each article includes a built-in citation tool that helps you easily generate citations in styles like APA, MLA, and Chicago.


How to Generate a Citation Using EBSCO Academic Search Complete

  1. Go to the library’s website and open EBSCO Academic Search Complete through the database list.
  2. Enter keywords, a topic, or the title of an article in the search bar and click Search.
  3. Select an article title from the search results to open the detailed record.
  4. On the right-hand toolbar, click the “Cite” icon (represented by a quotation mark).
  5. A list of citation styles will appear — scroll to find APA, MLA, or Chicago.
  6. Copy the citation and paste it into your reference list or bibliography.

Free Citation Generators AI Tools

Scribbr is a free online citation generator that works particularly well for citing websites, online articles, and YouTube videos in multiple styles, including APA. 

  1. Go to Scribbr online.
  2. On the top menu, select “Citing” → “Citation Generator.”
  3. Choose your citation style (e.g., APA).
  4. Copy and paste the website or YouTube URL into the search box.
  5. Scribbr will automatically generate the citation in the correct format.
  6. Copy and paste the citation into your reference list or bibliography.
